Our History

Our Female Pioneers
Great things happen when women join forces.
Markita McGill (left) prepared the soil, devised the strategy, and helped Legacy advisors realize that together, they could do more.
Heather Gantt (Right) planted the seeds. She cared for the seedlings until they took root growing the first African American Top Producing Advisor Team at Avantax.
Together, Markita and Heather ensured that Legacy Advisors had adequate fertilizer to grow.
A farmer's feet are the best fertilizer for the soil. Daily, Kim Bourne (middle), our first Lead Advisor, walks the grounds, ensures that our soil remains fertile and that our Legacy continues to thrive.
Together, these three female pioneers enjoy a pre-launch celebration at the African American Museum of History and Culture in our Nation's Capital in 2019.

Years in the Making
The Legacy Team of Advisors have been with Avantax formerly HD Vest for decades. They gradually came to the realization that that they are stronger together.
