Kim has always been a guide — someone to show people a path to make better lives for themselves. She grew up watching family members and friends work hard yet fall short of happiness. It is important to her to help families and institutions with emerging wealth invest responsibly and enjoy a sense of accomplishment that comes from a lifetime of work.
As a lifelong Brooklynite, she's committed to creating opportunities for girls who need support and encouragement in New York City and around the world. Kim serves on the boards of the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York, READ 718, and the Advisory Board of Earl Mosley's Institute of the Arts. Kim's commitment to her community and acumen as a financial advisor has not gone unnoticed. In 2019, she was honored by Black Women of Influence as a Trailblazer. Crain's New York Business 2020 recognized her as a Notable Woman in Financial Advice in 2020. She spoke at the Women Adviser Summit June 2021 and was published in the New York Times andInsights Success. Recently she interviewed as an exceptional leader for the National Women’s Hall of Fame 2021 Induction that was postponed, but hopes that you can support the Hall of Fame 2021 Induction Weekend on September 23-25, 2022.
She loves creating unforgettable experiences, like Mary Poppins on Broadway. She wants the Legacy Experience to be the Gold Standard in the Financial Services Industry. Similar to the Ritz-Carlton's Gold Standard to their guests, the Golden Globe win for Sidney Poitier, and the Gold Award, the highest award a Girl Scout can earn!
In her quiet time, she enjoys chasing sunsets at beachfront destinations with good books in tow and her camera in hand. What does Kim miss most during the pandemic? ...traveling to Kenya... taking supplies to girls and women to combat poverty in Kibera - currently the largest slum in Africa. She is most grateful to have visited all seven continents before the pandemic upended life as we knew it. Kim cant wait to hear what you treasure, what you have learned, and what you are looking forward to as we emerge from the pandemic together.
